Sherlock Holmes Empty Sherlock Holmes

There been numerous Sherlock Holmes both at the movies and from TV. I studied Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of Baskerville for my lower secondary school literature, least to say I'm quite familiar with Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. With every great detective, there seem to be a nemesis, and in the instance of Sherlock Holmes, his is Professor Moriaty. I kind of get turn off with some people's fascination of turning Holmes to a drug addict with his preoccupation of Moriaty where it was claim that the character was just a figment of his imagination to justify his addiction. I'm not looking forward to this movie if the focus is going to be on that subject.

However I'm pleasantly surprise by Guy Ritchie ( Madonna's ex-husband) Holmes as this movie turn up to be a good old mystery movie ala Sherlock Holmes! Good storyline and great chemistry bewteen Robert Downey Jr's Holmes and Jude Law's Dr. Watson. The characters portrayal is simply fantastic, as we see a much more younger Dr. Watson without a pouch, that's capable of holding his own against Holmes. The chemistry is almost sexual between these two guys and much fun to watch.

The best movie so far that I've watch this holiday season.
