Malaysian petrol price increase
Just went to JB on Sat 2 April and petrol price increased 20sen to RM2.70 for Ron 97 petrol. Last went on Thurs still at old RM2.50. guess still worth it to top up as it's really negligible increase.

Was there in JB as well yesterday... yup top up and notice the price was up to RM2.7 per litre, the 95RON cost RM1.9 per litre. Still acceptable cost if you convert at the prevailing currency rate of $SGD1=RM2.35, the petrol cost SGD 1.14 pre litre, still nearly $1 saving per litre and if you top up 30litre, the saving is $30 which you could have a nice meal in JB with the family. Funny thing, don't see much SG cars lining up at the petrol station there, went in by Tuas last evening around before 6pm and there was no congestion at all, went back at 1am also no congestion. Was expecting some kind of heavy traffic due to month end/begining of the month (pay day) crowd.

I left JB via Tuas at 6pm. Also no queues at the petrol kiosks and traffic was a breeze getting home. Wish it was like this forever..

Start of the crazy oil price hike again, eventually it will hit $3 a litre. Seriously all my kids are grown up, travelling by public transport is no longer a hassle, if it does reach the point where oil prices goes way to expensive to drive, I might just consider taking up a class 2 license or get a hybrid bicycle

Guess my JB petrol run will be a very regular feature. Nowadays, even on weekday afternoons sometimes jam going in and it's not the school holidays yet. Guess people probably going in on a petrol run like me. But if jam i skip the trip and plan another day. By that time have to top up SGD10-SGD15 before going in.

Just random check. This morning (Sat) went in at 10.30am via Tuas and there was a check by LTA not the Aetos police. Saw a few SG cars asked to move to the side. Guess kena liao..

Guess so.. But it's not really worth it if you get caught. First pay compound $50 fine then have to turn back to fill up to three quarter tank. Next your name is up and if caught again maybe bigger fine. For those trying to cheat with that auto switch, bigger risk of losing bigger $$.

The jump is quite high, a 40 sen increase from the previous hike. That's about SGD 1.20 per litre. The strong SGD currency is still favoring crossing over but once our money drop then must consider if it's worth the hassle of border crossing.

No lah bro. It's only a 20sen hike. Was at RM2.70 till last Friday. With the strong Sing dollar, still worth the trip.

Tks... looking back at the previous post, SS69 predicted the increase to RM2.70, now nearing to the RM3.00! Going in to JB this weekend for makan at Damai Seafood Restaurant in Perling hope so the petrol prices have not increase further!

Bro, why not try Saujana Seafood? On the way back to S'pore via the 2nd Link, take the Tanjong Pelepas exit. Make a right turn at the next traffic light junction. Then turn left at the next junction. You'll see a snow carwash on your left at this junction. Continue driving till you see a signboard "Yeo's Sekeluarga Seafood". Take a right at this sighboard. Drive up 300metres and you'll see Saujana Seafood. Yeo's Seafood is on the left abot 100 metres away.
Saujana Seafood
Chilli Crab at Saujana
This cost me RM193 including 1 jug of lemonade
Car wash on the way to there
Btw, they accept Visa/MC. Enjoy...

Nice pics.. this must be the 50mm. This lens expose very well...anyway it's not my call since this is my wife family outing. Did propose to them Saujana but they want to give Damai a try, so let's give it a try!
