Morning shots at Pasir Ris Park
Went for sunrise shot last Sat, 3 Apr with bro BoW. Decided to try Pasir Ris Park as it was nearby and sun was rising fast. Tide was low but we tried a few shots of the beach and the rising sun. Not too bad considering it kind of difficult to get a "good" sunrise in Singapore. I've uploaded a couple of shots in my gallery. You're most welcome to comment. Btw, this shutter bug is really getting into me...

Another Sunrise at Pasir Ris Park
Got an early call from the Boss to go shoot sunrise, so here are result of my half asleep images from that outing:-
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
It was a bit misty when we got to the location, but it cleared up and the sun start to rise, looks like a good quality egg yolk we have this morning!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Here we co, the nice orangie yolk about be half sunny side up.

Finally a nice full sunny side up for breakfast!

What do people do on a public holiday? Get up very early in the morning and go digging around the beach at low tide for? Clams?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Bird shooting using my 135mm zoom, it took about 20 shots just to get one clear view of the Hornbill.. luckily it's digital, otherwise if it's on film, I don't think so I can be so trigger happy!
Thanks for viewing my images, welcome and C & C to improve my skill and technique!
BTW as usual, please click on the image for a "bigger and better" picture!

Ya sure knwo you got some nice keepers with that 300mm for the Hornbill shots. Okay here I give you pointers on how to do picture uploading.
1. Go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and sign up for an account (can also not sign up)
The link here
The interface at postimage is simple, you register if you want to sign up, no worries they will not sent you annoying mailer. If you returning user, just login. You can create albums if you want to.
2. Upload your image at postimage.org, by selecting either single image or multiple images. Select which one you want to do and in one of the dropdown box, select the type to change the image size otherwise too big and cannot upload. Choose the size for forum (640 X 480 message board). You can also select your album if you have created them, then click on "Upload"
3. Once you have completed the upload, a new screen will appear LOOK CAREFULLY, if you have upload single image you have option to COPY the link provided. Click on the for "Message board 1" or something and select copy. The information will be copied on the clipboard and the screen will show "Copied!". For multiple images, you can display either in columns and etc. same thing choose "Copy to clipboard"
4. Come back here, create a post or reply to message and once you are ready to include image in your posting, just do a "CTRL (+) V" and the link will be pasted. Do a preview to make sure the images can be seen.
Ya, I think this is simple enough if still cannot do then no other way must hold classes already.

Re: Another Sunrise at Pasir Ris Park
Ok looking at the enthusiastic potential students, this will be the course plan.
Keeping it simple and more to your needs, assuming that you guys already have the basic so it's more on what you can do online. As most forums either enable HTML or uses BB, so I will try to explain what tag does. Also in store will be some basic knowledge on forum administration, such as how to access the admin pages, what you can do there like creating a new forum and sub-forum.
Moving on to more interesting topic would be on how to post images in the forum. There are several ways to do that but we will deal with the easiest, that is posting via linking of the image. Prior to that I will also explain about image sizes, how to downsize them to the correct size and where to upload them and etc. and to do this, there are several method and since you guys are tagging along your own notebook, laptop net-book or whatever so there are a couple of things that you can prepare before turning up for the lesson.
In my case, I'm using Pentax and and the software that comes with my camera is the Silkypix 4, I'm not sure about Nikon or Sony, but whatever it is, good to have it install in your notebook/net-book whatever. You don't have to bring your DSLR along, but I'm not stopping you guys from bringing it. It's a must to have at least images in your net-,notebook whatever or at least on your SD-Card. If you are using something else, like CS5 or even whatever, let me know about it.
The rest if any other topic we will cross that once we come to the bridge
Coming to the date and time, I would suggest this weekend. I know Saturday morning will be out as one of the student is crossing over the border for his rations so it's either Saturday afternoon/evening, Sunday morning ( Sunday evening, I'm tied down for family thingy) or Monday morning or evening. Normally I would like to rest a bit on Monday before preparing myself for work the following day.
As for venue, there are a couple of places, like in Tampines One, they have free wireless access and there is a coffee outlet on the 2nd or 3rd floor that we can crash. However I would prefer to do this from my home as well, mainly if we need any extra "data", far more easier to get it done there. This will also give me the opportunity to "show-off" my home entertainment setup Seriously this will give you guys a good idea on how home entertainment and home networking can integrate, I'm sure some of the crazy stuff I have done will blow some of you guys, then again I have no intention of turning you people into techno geeks!
Ok lets heave some feedbacks and we can start the ball rolling!

You want me to explain now or during the lesson?
Going back to your first question, what you can do is if you have a desktop PC with an optical drive, you can copy the contents of the CD-ROM on your thumb drive and use that to install on your Netbook...aiyah this is the most basic that people do!
