any OPC owners jump on the wagon of the new scheme?
not attractive for me at least..yet

e.g 1.4CC normal road tax=$625.
rebate=$500.
new scheme road tax=$125.
if road tax say expire june..from now till june have to pay the diffenrence over the new scheme.
+ $100 ADministrative fees.

new scheme
$125=12 mths
1 mth=$10.42(4 Sat)
per sat=$2.65

old scheme
$80=12 mths
1 mth=$6.67
per sat=$1.67

maybe give a few more months to get a clearer pics..till den. Rolling Eyes pirat

You count salah liao!

New scheme you pay @125, Saturuday F.O.C la!

Another way looking at this, is this way:-

Current:
You pay $70 road tax = Saturday cannot use

Revise OPC:
$125, Saturday full day.

If you deduct the amount $125 from $70, you are actually paying an additional of $55 to get to drive on Saturday.

If you choose to remain at the old scheme, you pay road tax $70 but you still need to pay $20 per usage on a Saturday. So if you don't convert, and you use for 3 Saturdays and pay the $20, that's equal to the $55 that you need to top up. In total there are about 48 Saturdays in a year, if you want to calculate, $55 divide by 48 and each saturday will cost $1.1458 under the new scheme.

Under the old scheme, you pay $70 road tax, each Saturday still cost you $20!! Rolling Eyes This revise OPC actually benefit the small cc car and those people who will die die need to go out on Saturday morning.

I think it's $100 for the admin fee and $57 for making up the difference in road tax.

I quote what you wrote at the top of this page:-

e.g 1.4CC normal road tax=$625.
rebate=$500.
new scheme road tax=$125.

So how much must you pay after that?

Yup, $100 is for one time admin. Then $57 is from last week till end oct(which my road tax ends).

Then for new road tax renewal, $126 per year i need to pay(exculding radio license at $27).
