USB Overload.
Hi guys,
Just wanna share my exp when I was installing a new DIY PC for my friend..
After installing the essential components such as the power, ram, processor and connecting the switches to
the mobo, the pc will power up but not able to boot to bios. It states USB overload detected. System will shutdown in 15 secs and it will shut off and will not power up anymore unless you reset the power. I did not plug anything to the USB port except for my keyboard and mouse. The handbook is little help as there is no English language surprisingly. After hours of thinking what is the cause, I realise a small "jumper" beside the word usb pwr is missing compared to the others.. And when i place back the jumper it boots up to bios as per normal.. When the jumper came off in the very beginning.. I thought it belongs to the CMOS reset.. actually it belongs to the USB.

Mobo + E8400 Quad Core =$341
4gb ddr2 800 ram = $128
Casing + icute 450w power supply =$100
Windows 7 Home premium OEM = $170
Hitachi 320gb sata = $63
In the end over budget.. No time to shop for cheaper OS..
Shop Bell Systems.
