Michelin - Pilot Perceda II
This is a running review, it will not summed up my experience with the PP2 until I have really change my tires like the Neuton NT 5000. Just a peek to what I'm going through with this set of tires:-
Manufacturer : Michelin
Model :Pilot Perceda 2
Usage : 1209 to current
Mileage :2,500 KM
Tire Spec : 196/55 R17
Cost per Tire : Package with RIMs
F/C : None
Comments:-
I've cleared the first 2500 km on my new set of the PP2. Too early for me to give a subjective feedback, so I'm just going to so a running commentary as my mileage progress upward.
It would be a bit of a challenge for me NOT to compare this sets of tires to my previous ones, main reason is that I'm completely on a different profile. However the most noticeable difference is the noise level. Nowadays I can hear myself thinking! It's not so much bone jarring anymore now when I hit the road humps or a crack on the highway, the level of comfort has gone up. The PP2 as promise has good grip on both wet and dry surface. Relatively high speed corner, the tire grip the road but body roll can now be experience. I attribute this not to the tire but rather to the difference in my profile. Lower profile at 40 with wider track for my previous sets of rim and tires greatly enhance corner taking, the difference is minimal but I felt it and it will get more once I have worn out this set of tire. This is however not something that you cannot overcome with other mod to balance the handling.
I've not work out the data for my FC yet, but I think I'm looking at lower FC from butt feel, however that is not good enough to come to any conclusion. Hopefully I find sometime to do my calculations soon. Look for for my 5k update.

Re: Michelin - Pilot Perceda II
The are made in Thailand, I worked out with the trade in the tires cost me less that $100 so price wise is quite reasonable, however the same Thailand made PP2 cost less than RM200 if you get in JB.

If not mistaken it's at Hawk Tire in Southern City. However it's no harm to go around looking for tires and getting to know the workshop there.

YUp, its still in force! And honestly, since the 20L rule start till now, i only pump 20L per time. Btw, I go in with 3/4 petrol, how to pump more?

Would appreciate if you remain on-topic, this is not about Federal 595 thread. Thanks.

Re: Michelin - Pilot Perceda II
Coming to my 5K mark already with this tire, noise level is still the same as when it's new. Wear and tear? Nothing much to report on that so far. Have been quite satisfied with this purchase so far. Let's wait for the next 5K where I will be rotating them as well at 10K.

Re: Michelin - Pilot Perceda II
Hit the 10k point sometime in the last 2 months, forgotten to update the thread, anyway did my cross rotation of the tyres for FOC at the workshop that sold me these rims and tyres. After 10K it get a little bit noisy but still bearable and tyre wear is still okay, will update here once I hit my 20K.
