Rear Shock Absobers replaced

Had to replace my rear shock absorbers on my return from Malaysia last week. I had this nagging feeling that my rear shock absorbers are faulty as when i have 2 adults the rear really sank in. When i drive and the rear tyres kept hitting the mudguards. Decided to get them changed and done that at Hairi's. I changed back to original GM onesand made sure they are for Optra Estate and not the Sedan model. The current ones used was the aftermarket Gab from Rdy. These were not meant for Estate and on closer examination confirmed that they were slightly smaller than the Estate ones. Learnt an expensive lesson!!

Your butt getting heavy lately? So that 5 years and how many sets of shock have you gone thru? My take, anything "performance" will not last you any longer than "stock" and will cost as well?

Replaced stock absorbers cos right side was leaking. Checked around and no stocks for the stock ones, even Songyi and Alpine didn't have the spares at that time. Went to Rdy and was recommended the red Gab ones. I clarified if they were meant for Optra Estate, boss said should be no problems and even offered 1-for-1 exchange 6 month warranty, no questions asked. Went ahead with the replacement and the rest is history. Now i know better!
